Mercy is a ball of sunshine, full of energy and enthusiasm. He enjoys talking to others and absolutely adores being helpful to them in any way he can; which in his eyes includes bothering them. He’s ridiculously silly and tries to get people to laugh. He’s arrogant, self-centered but does care about people – sometimes anyway. He can be horribly morbid with some of his jokes and often times will just say things he knows will make people uncomfortable. Mercy enjoys pain, both watching and receiving it, he often talks about different ideas of how people could get hurt, what they could end up as and how great it’d be for some of these things to happen; all the while saying them with a big grin on his face. He likes to be the life of the party and honestly will probably run himself thin while trying to talk with everyone.

█ History:

Mercy was born a twin, with his brother, Justice. They were the children of a Lieutenant of the Kingdom’s Military force , Yorokobi, Saburou and his wife. Growing up they had a fairly simple, comfortable life, with his father as part of the military his family was well taken care of. Mercy’s mother was a sickly lady however, and it was almost a miracle that she’d even been able to give birth to healthy twins, so it wasn’t surprising that after nine years she fell ill and has been hospital bound ever since. After that Mercy’s father took over caring for both him and Justice.

While on duty, Mercy’s father had to watch over his two sons, which at the time were only 12. The babysitter they had planned to have suddenly changed plans and now the two were stuck with their father on this mission; it was a simple destination switch so their Father didn’t worry. During the trip an accident occurred and it resulted in Mercy’s powers being revealed. Mercy had somehow revived a person whose heart had stopped, using only his hands. After a bit of researching and going to different places for answers they found that Mercy possessed special electric powers, magic powers.

Mercy spent a few years trying to train himself on his own but in the end his father wanted him to attend Gedonelune ; mostly due to the fact that his father was rather annoyed by all the electric burns in the house they had. His father hadn’t been too keen on the magical powers Mercy had but couldn’t simply abandon one of his children for it. But Truth be told Mercy wasn’t too fond of the school, and had hoped he’d get rejected. As karma’s a butt, it turns out he was accepted and his dad shipped him off to the school. Mercy still doesn’t want to be here but isn’t going to flat out fail to get out.

Mercy enjoys watching the pain of others and very much enjoys being physically hurt himself. He doesn’t usually seek it out directly but enjoys the ‘high’ he gets from being injured as well as watching others get hurt. He often will also joke about people/himself being hurt. You really… really shouldn’t be friends with this weirdo.

Mercy has a total of seven piercings. He plans on getting some tattoos eventually. He also has had teeth modifications done to him. So now he has very pointy fangs on top and bottom teeth.

He has a birthmark on his lower back that looks like a bunny head. He’s rather fond of it despite not being able to see it without a mirror.

He has lost most nerve feeling in his hands, so he tries to be extra careful and keep his hands in front of him so he doesn’t end up getting hurt without realizing. Though sometimes he does like to hurt his hands purposely to see the reaction of people/see if he can feel it now.

Merc has a face mask that he created himself.  It allows him to discharge electricity from the protruding parts on its cheeks. He didn’t make it with any specific purpose, and the electricity doesn’t hurt anyone if they touch it, he just found it looked cool. He also enjoys wearing the mask because then he can talk without people staring at the piercings and fangs he has. Which makes it even more fun to see people’s reactions when he takes it off.

He’s got very quick reflexes due to the fact his body is 90% of the time full of energy and electricity, which makes his body work faster, thus move faster.

He absolutely adores Magician magic tricks, and enjoys showing them to people, he’s gotten fairly good at it after having studied it for five years. He tends to mess with people with them however and usually will show the magic tricks more often than his actual magical powers.

Whenever Merc is able to use large amounts of his electricity he gets a bit high from the mix of adrenaline, the pain, as well as the energy of the electricity itself.

Mercy suffers from Insomnia, and often waits until his body completely fails him, to go to sleep. So if he starts slowing down for some random reason it’d be a good idea to keep an eye on him in case he passes out.

His magical powers are a bit different than normal magic is. For one he actually uses his body as a living circuit. The electricity once in him is constantly flowing. He’s able to control how much electricity is exiting or entering his body (or someone elses), so he doesn’t have to worry about accidentally giving someone a bad shock. Due to the way his magic works, he’s unable to get past very beginner level for magic types like earth or nature. Fire, water, air, light, and dark he’s a bit better at but prefers Electricity.

The good thing about his magic electricity is that his active energy increased, as well as his agility.  With all this electricity in him his nervous system has been dulled, which lets him stay on his feet a lot longer even if he’s hurt. He’s not shocking to the touch and it’s only able to be moved from his hands and feet.

Unfortunately he’s unable to rest peacefully at night unless he gets rid of any excess energy. He also cannot feel fatigue or injuries easily when he has electricity in him, which means that his body my fail him and he won’t realize until it’s too late. If too much of the electricity in him is spent he crashes HARD and it’s very difficult for him to get back up. It also is bad if he overcharges himself as that can damage him internally. He also isn’t able to go into the water when charged up as he’d basically be a walking toaster in a bathtub.

When low on electricity, he’s able to ‘recharge’ the electricity in three ways. One is from the area around him and just channeling it inside himself into a usable current, another is to store up the electricity his body produces. The final and least used way is to take electricity from a power source such as a lightning or another source of manufactured electricity, but this is very risky as this way tends to damage him and cause him to overcharge on energy very quickly. Depending on the power source it may result in a temporary black out for both the source and Mercy himself.

Mercy’s able to get rid of the excess energy/electricity running through him in a harmless electric burst, usually it shoots into the ground or into the air about three feet away from him. The electricity is harmless and the most people feel is a slight tingley/pins and needles feeling from it. If Mercy has too much energy in him and hasn’t been using it for a while his body almost forces him to do this, and often times he hurts himself in the process of keeping it in his body or it drains too much electricity and he crashes.
